Heart surgery and waffles
I have watched, guarded and watched and felt extremely powerless when I had to leave her for surgery and I experienced for the first time in my life that someone who is such a strong personality and who makes a great impression on most people she meets now was only a body that was to be repaired. As an object. I would just go and hand her over to these foreign pros. It was so against my instinct but I went out in the sun and hung like a fluttering sheet to dry. The head was full and empty at the same time and it changed as often as the wind tore at the sheets.
Two hours later came the call confirming that it was all over. It had gone very well and the daughter was "awake". I sat next to her and followed her into the waking state, we were sent back to the ward, the night came, the night went and we went home. All this in no time. She danced into the hospital and rolled out again shortly after as if nothing had happened. A heart surgery! Incredible!
When we got home, the girl felt that she actually had the authority to have various wishes and one of them was that waffles would be served for coffee. Of course!
Waffles with berries and coconut
For 8 small waffle hearts or two large waffles
• 1 egg
• 1 dl grated mozzarella
• 2 tablespoons almond flour
• ½ tsp psyllium remember
• Teaspoon baking powder
• About 20g chopped 90% chocolate
• Sweet litter to powder over when serving
Pour all ingredients except sweet sprinkles into a small bowl. Mix well with a fork and then click out the batter into a waffle iron. Bake and serve with berries, nuts or maybe a little cream. Easy as pie or waffle!
